Last night Miriam really wanted to paint her nails red. I decided that while we were into the girlishness I would try putting foam curlers in her hair. Here she is waiting for her nails to dry.
I wasn't sure how well her hair would curl. I wasn't even sure if she would sleep in them. Growing up my mom put foam curlers in mine and my sisters hair every Saturday night while we watched The Lawrence Welk Show. A tradition we still talk about. It was so much fun putting curlers in Miriam's hair (we were watching Sleeping Beauty) and reminiscing about my childhood. This morning I was excited to see that she slept with them in all night. I don't know if she understood what I was doing last night, but when I took them out she was excited to see her curls. Here are some pictures of the craziness (complete with my Photoshop experiments). Her hair definitely takes to curls, just like Mom's.
It was actually a lot colder outside than I thought. As a reward for putting up with my photo shoot, Miriam got to have hot chocolate and a treat. Here she is enjoying her reward.

She is very cute!
Omg that is precious! I love it! It's funny because today I experimented and straightened Ambrey's hair. (It didn't work out so well, but enough to make a difference). I love that headband, is the band elastic? I've been thinking of expanding into something like that for my shop since the lace ones are not enough for Ambrey's crazy mop.
Please put foam curlers in Miriam's hair every single day for the rest of her life.
