Conclusion to our summer in Virginia

Michael came home from work yesterday with a paper that said:

Congratulations on your offer to join Pricewaterhouse Coopers as a full time associate!

We are so excited for this opportunity that lies before us. Michael worked hard this summer and we are so proud of him. We will get an official written offer soon and will know for sure what our future holds. We are looking forward to returning to Utah this week to finish the last year of school.

Hershey Park

On Saturday we went to Hershey Park in Pennsylvania. I wasn't expecting Miriam to be able to get on any rides, but we were able to take her on the carousel plus two other rides. It was fun to watch her even though she is too young to care.

We also stopped by Chocolate World to catch a glimpse of how Hershey makes the chocolate. The free chocolate at the end was great.

We had such a great time. Thanks to Grandma and Grandpa Bishop for having such a fun day with us.

7 months

Miriam is seven months old today. She is growing up so fast. Miriam loves tags on anything. She always finds them. She loves to have her burp cloth to chew on. We think she is going to be a blanket baby. Miriam loves to dance to any music she hears, including the piano at church. She loves playing the piano. She goes crazy banging and dancing all at the same time. She loves to watch So You Think You Can Dance with her Mom. Miriam is learning to repeat sounds we say to her... she is a little chatterbox. This makes us excited for her talk so we will know what she is thinking. She is constantly moving her arms and legs. She uses her whole body to express her excitement. As soon as she learns to roll around and crawl we will be in trouble. She loves to sit and play with her stacking toy. Miriam has learned to clap and spit this week. She also has a little fake cough she uses to get our attention. We think she is just so cute.

First Trip to the Park

We took Miriam to the park last night. It was her first time on the swings. I didn't think she would care too much, but she ended up loving the swings. She thought it was just great. She would flail her arms and legs when we pushed her gently in the swing. She is so expressive with everything she does. Being a parent is so fun.

Mom and Dad got to enjoy a little time on the swings too. We have had some wonderful weather while here in Virginia. The nights are perfect for walks.

4th of July

On Saturday we went into Washington DC to watch the fireworks with all of Michael's family. Rachel, Shaun, Sarah, Chris, and Nathan flew in to surprise Dad for his 50th birthday. The weather ended up being great; not too hot and humid.

We got Miriam a cute outfit for the Fourth of July.
