The rest of July

Well, we are definitely on the countdown for the big move. Michael has now taken 3 of the 4 exams for the CPA. We have the moving truck scheduled. Now I just have to start packing. Enjoy some pictures from some of the things we have done this month.

My family came and spent a day with us. We went to the park and ended up down by the river. Then we went bowling. I am not sure Miriam really understood what it was all about, but I think we all had fun.

I'm so glad...

...when Daddy comes home, glad as I can be.

Miriam loves to go outside and wait for Michael to cross the street, turn the corner, and head toward her. We try to go out and meet him whenever we can. I am so glad I decided to take my camera today to capture her love for Daddy.

Flashback Friday 2

Here are pictures from the giraffe exhibit at Hogle Zoo. The first one was back when we first started dating. I remembered we had taken that picture back then, so I decided to take a family picture there when we went a couple of weeks ago. However, the giraffe is behind me in the picture so you can't see him/her very well.

She does smile, a lot

I feel like I never get any good pictures of Miriam smiling and looking at the camera at the same time. She gets camera "shy", aka she ignores me when I get the camera out or she wants to take pictures. So imagine my excitement today when I got not only one, but a couple of good pictures of Miriam. After she was done with her peanut butter sandwich she was being silly so I thought I would grab the camera to see what would happen. She may have peanut butter and jam on her face, but check out that smile!

Flashback Friday

I have been wanting to do a post like this for a while. I think it is fun to see how much we have changed, especially Miriam. I will try to find pictures to do this again (but no promises). Here are pictures from the 4th of July last year, then this year (so patriotic!).

July... so far

I got a little behind on my blogging updates there for a while. As you can see, I have gone back and caught up. Here are a few things we have also done this month.

One of our scouts earned his Webelos badge.
We spent the 4th of July weekend with my family.
I celebrated my 30th birthday -- click here for more.
We attended a Glenn family reunion -- don't click here, there isn't more, no pictures.
Michael took his second test of the CPA exam.
Miriam keeps us entertained and busy.

First Crayons

I bought Miriam her first box of crayons today. She was really into it. The coloring kept her busy for quite a long time. So worth the 30 cents!

Hogle Zoo

We took a trip to the Hogle Zoo with my family today. As I have said before, Miriam is sometimes unsure about animals. She really likes them in books and on TV, but when she gets too close she gets scared. I wasn't sure how much she would like it, but I wanted to go to the zoo.

I think it turned out all right. Miriam was very happy to see all of the animals at a safe-for-her distance. She loves signing all the animal names she knows. We all had a great time at the zoo.
