Laura's Day

I am so happy that I got to be part of Laura's special day. The Friday before Michael left, Laura went through the temple to take out her own endowments. It was so wonderful to be there with her and my family. The temple is an amazing place where the spirit can be felt and peace can come to those who seek it. I am so happy to have the blessings of the temple in my life. I love going to the temple with Michael and being reminded of our covenants. I am lucky to have a forever family.

Downtown Salt Lake City

Another day when we were all together last week we went down to Temple Square in Salt Lake City. We rode the Frontrunner train down, then hopped on the tracks. The kids absolutely loved riding the train. We taught Simon the sign for train and he was so excited about it.

We stopped and played at the children's museum and visitor's center...

...before heading over to see the temple.

Seeing the Salt Lake City temple brought our total to seven temples in two days. I have always loved visiting Temple Square, no matter how close or far away we have lived.

Temples of Utah

One day last week my family made a trip around Utah to see as many temples as we could. I think it is so amazing to be able to see so many temples in just a days drive. We stopped at each one and took pictures, then headed off to the next. We hit 6 temples in a seven hour period. Whew, it was tiring. I am so glad Miriam and Simon could have this experience even if they won't remember much of it. Just exposing them to the importance of the temple was amazing.

Hopefully some day we can take our kids to the Manti Temple where we were married almost 4 1/2 years ago. These are experiences I will always cherish.

Summer Family Pictures

I still have some blogging to catch up on, but I had to take a break from vacation pictures to show you our wonderful family pictures we had taken the second day we got to Utah. I absolutely love how they turned out. All credit goes to the lovely, talented Tara at Winsor Photography. Her work is amazing and I am so happy she could photograph our family. Now for the hard part... I will attempt to chose only a few of my favorites to show you!

Glenn Family Reunion

Last weekend we were able to attend the Glenn Family reunion (my Mom's parents and her siblings). I hadn't seen most family members since we left two years ago, some even longer, so it was nice to be able to see everyone for a couple of days.

On Friday we went down to the BYU campus. We toured museums and had a video scavenger hunt. Miriam loved hanging out with her cousins. For lunch we had to stop and get JDawgs, a must for visits to Provo.

Before we left we stopped by the building where Michael used to work while he was a student. However no one he used to work for was there, so we stopped and let the kids play in the water fountain while we soaked in the BYU air.

On Saturday we had lunch with Michael's sisters (at La Casita - another must during our visit), so we didn't make it up to Draper to hang out until around four o'clock. After so much going on during the week we were tuckered out. Both kids fell asleep on the way there (which never happens) and Michael fell asleep as soon as we got there. Rest assured he did not fall asleep while driving.
