Bath Time
As a rule I don't usually post bath time pictures. However, after the big Cougar win against San Diego St we couldn't help celebrating by teaching Miriam to put the letters BYU up in the tub.

32 weeks
I made it to the 32 week mark on Thursday. This past week I had an ultrasound and a doctor's appointment. At the ultrasound the baby now weighs 5 pounds. The doctor there said I am on my way to a 9 pound plus baby. Great huh? They still want to monitor the size of the baby so I will return for another ultrasound in 4 weeks. At my doctor appointment my belly is measuring at 34 weeks. The doctor said that is fine and not to worry. He says I am definitely going to have a big baby. Other than the size of this large baby boy everything is looking great. I haven't gained much weight but I sure feel big. We are getting more and more excited for this little one to arrive. And not to disappoint, here are some (take it or leave it) pictures:

Down on the Farm
The weather was so nice on Friday, so I decided to take Miriam to a local (free) farm. We enjoyed taking advantage of the warm weather, but we sure wished Michael was there.
She had a great time looking at the animals. She is a cautious little girl and therefore kept a "safe" distance, but talked to every animal along the way. We will definitely be heading back when the weather stays warm.

First Warm Day
Today was the first warm day of the year. It actually got up to about 65 degrees. That is pretty great for February right? I decided we should enjoy it while it lasts. I took Miriam over to a little park we have in our complex. It isn't really exciting (slide, big girl swings, and two rocking things), but Miriam was so glad to be outside that it didn't really matter. The only swings they had were the big ones. I wasn't sure how Miriam would do, but she did okay. I told her to hold on and hold still while I pushed her.. a very little bit. She didn't go high like she does in the enclosed swings, but she sure didn't want to get off and go home.
Tomorrow is supposed to be just as nice, maybe we can do it again.

Foam Curlers
Last night Miriam really wanted to paint her nails red. I decided that while we were into the girlishness I would try putting foam curlers in her hair. Here she is waiting for her nails to dry.
I wasn't sure how well her hair would curl. I wasn't even sure if she would sleep in them. Growing up my mom put foam curlers in mine and my sisters hair every Saturday night while we watched The Lawrence Welk Show. A tradition we still talk about. It was so much fun putting curlers in Miriam's hair (we were watching Sleeping Beauty) and reminiscing about my childhood. This morning I was excited to see that she slept with them in all night. I don't know if she understood what I was doing last night, but when I took them out she was excited to see her curls. Here are some pictures of the craziness (complete with my Photoshop experiments). Her hair definitely takes to curls, just like Mom's.
It was actually a lot colder outside than I thought. As a reward for putting up with my photo shoot, Miriam got to have hot chocolate and a treat. Here she is enjoying her reward.

Doctor, Doctor give me the news
One of Miriam's favorite Christmas gifts has been her doctor kit.
She gets it out almost everyday. Her patients include me, her dolls, and even herself. It is amazing how fast she has learned what each thing does. When we go to the doctor she even recognizes the tools. There is a pair of glasses in the kit...
... I laugh every time she puts them on! Isn't she the cutest little doctor?
